Fresh Berries and Whipped Goat Cheese for a Cause
This weekend we had the pleasure of working with the Chefs' Consortium at the Savor Schoharie Garden Party to support the SALT Development. When Hurricane Irene hit a few years ago and destroyed Schoharie, SALT was there to help the community rebuild. We really got a sense tonight of what a community it is!
For the event the Chefs' Consortium sourced the toppings for the waffles.
- local whipped goat cheese from Cotton Hill Creamery
- dark chocolate ganache from Chocolate Springs
- local chocolate mint from The Carrot Barn
- fresh local strawberries and blueberries
We love using our waffles as a canvas for creation. The flavors went together spectacularly and resulted in the perfect summer evening garden party dessert.
The Carrot Barn is the retail side of Schoharie Valley Farms. This gem is located about 2.5 miles off of Interstate 88 in New York. The produce and flowers are exceptional and the people are some of the most genuine you will find. Check them out if you are ever in the area.
