What is a Belgian Liege Waffle?
Belgian Liege Waffles are yeast waffles instead of batter waffles. They go through multiple rising processes. Their consistency has been described by our customers as a cross between a donut and a soft pretzel. The signature of Belgian Liege Waffles are the pearl sugar bits in each waffle. Plus, our waffles are made using many high quality local to us ingredients! Once you taste a Belgian Liege Waffle, you will understand the WAFFLOVE!
What is the best way to heat a waffle? We strongly recommend an oven or toaster OVEN (please do not place the Belgian Liege Sugar waffles in a toaster unless you want to spend your day cleaning out burnt sugar!). A microwave can be used as well, but we feel the texture tastes best when reheated via oven. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 350-400F and then put the waffle or waffles in for 2-4 minutes. If you are reheating from frozen, we recommend doubling the time. Just keep an eye on it so it does not burn. If you are using a microwave, about 20 seconds should do the trick. A few customers have tried reheating frozen waffles in the air fryer. Try 350F for about 3-4 minutes. Warming the waffle will make it taste just like it came right off of the waffle iron. It will not necessarily be crispy, but it will be warm and delightful!
What is the best way to eat a waffle? Straight up! Heat it up and consume. In all its waffly goodness. But if you really want to, add toppings and enhance the waffle canvas. Take a picture and tag us on social media using @sendmewaffles and #sendmewaffles!
How do I send waffles as a gift? You are an awesome friend for sharing the WAFFLOVE! On the cart page, there is a place to add a note to your order. Write a gift message there and we will be sure the recipient receives it with the order.
Want to send to multiple people? Right now the only way to do that is to do separate orders. Need the waffle delivered by a certain date? Let us know that as well in the comment box.

Also, in-store pick up is something we would love to offer in the future. Help us grow so we can offer this very convenient local option! What is the shelf life of the waffles? The Belgian Liege Send Me Sugar Waffles are shelf stable. Please use or freeze by the date on the package - the top number. To extend their lives, place in the freezer upon receipt.
Why do the waffles differ slightly from each other? It is natural to see some difference in shape, color and size between each waffle. Each is unique! The white chucks inside are called pearl sugar. They are meant to be there and are part of what make Belgian Liege Waffles special.
How do you send me waffles? See what we did there? Each waffle is wrapped and tucked in tightly in the box and then sent out to the recipient. We treat each individual waffle like family and want you to receive them as freshly made as possible.
Do you offer local PickUp? We do! Select local pick up upon check out. Orders will be ready in 2-5 days (Usually on the shorter end of that). We will reach out to you to offer pick up times. Upon arrival at our shop, please text or call us at 518-945-0658 and we will happily bring your order out to you. If you are looking for unpackaged fresh waffles for an event, brunch, yourself, or any reason, please reach out to us directly using the form below. We have separate pricing for unpackaged waffles!
Do you accept returns? Due to the perishable nature of the product, we are not able to accept returns. However, if you do believe something is wrong with the waffles you received, please contact us through the form at the bottom of this page. We strive to send you only the best product so we can all savor wafflove!

Do you offer Gluten Free or Vegan or Dairy- Free or Nut free waffles? We did offer Vegan/Dairy free waffles, however we have temporarily stopped making them for now. In terms of nut free, while we do not claim to be a nut free facility, none of our waffles contain nuts. However, please reach out to us for specific questions and concerns. Also, we have received requests about Gluten Free waffles and while we would love to offer these, we can not provide a safe environment to comfortably manufacture gluten free products that would be ok for all Gluten Free needs.
